Prime Ministers Museum & Library

The Prime Ministers Museum and Library is housed in the sprawling Thirty Acre historic Teen Murti campus located south of Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya

The Prime Ministers Museum and Library, formerly known as Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, established in 1964 at Teen Murti House in memory of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. With the inauguration of the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya on 14 April 2022, the institutional mandate was expanded to commemorate the leadership and contributions of all Prime Ministers of India. Located within the historic Teen Murti campus, the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya presents India’s democratic journey through the lives and public service of its Prime Ministers. Organised into two blocks, the museum combines historical scholarship with contemporary museum practices and digital technology to create an engaging and inclusive visitor experience.

Library

Teen Murti House also houses a specialized Library which has been designed and developed as a specific research and reference centre on colonial and post-colonial India with its very rich and varied collection of books, journals, photographs and other resource materials on Microfilms and Microfiche. Open to bonafide researchers on payment of a nominal fee, the Library offers valuable opportunities for doing advanced research and reference work on social sciences, with an emphasis on modern and contemporary Indian history.

Nehru Planetarium

The Nehru Planetarium, New Delhi, is a premier centre for astronomy education and public engagement, dedicated to nurturing scientific temper and curiosity about the universe. Inaugurated on 6 February 1984, the Planetarium has played a significant role in popularising astronomy through immersive and engaging learning experiences for visitors of all ages. At the core of the Planetarium is its full-dome sky theatre, equipped with a 15-metre 4K digital dome capable of presenting high-quality 2D and 3D shows. These programmes communicate complex astronomical concepts in an accessible and visually captivating manner, making the exploration of the cosmos both educational and enjoyable.
