Planetarium

The Planetarium is situated in the lush green surroundings within the Teen Murti Campus. Designed to promote and present many facets of astronomy, astrophysics, and the celestial science, the Planetarium has played a seminal role in disseminating knowledge and instilling interest in space science, especially among young minds. State of the art 2D Digital system with immersive visual and special effects is installed at the planetarium sky theatre that runs innovative and informative shows such as the ‘Ultimate Universe', 'New Solar System', ‘Astronaut’ etc.. The sky theatre show and various astronomy based activities during major celestial events make the Planetarium a popular destination for all. The planetarium is amongst the few that frequently updates full dome shows accompanied with live lectures—all created indigenously.   

The strength of the Planetarium lies in its live interactions and innovative programmes which are being constantly improvised, over the years for visitors, students, amateur astronomers and astronomy enthusiasts. Lectures, workshops and observational activities in the field of astronomy, space science, environment etc. for school & college students and astronomy enthusiasts are organized throughout the year thereby giving the general public and students the opportunity to interact with subject experts.
